Anyway, I have decided against posting a blog about New York. It was so long ago and it feels almost pointless. Unless there is someone who DEMANDS to see a post about it, I'm tossing it in the trash.
I also apologize for the layout. It's a little bright and I keep tweaking it but it is not making me happy. I will eventually figure out a good layout, but for now, please bear with me!
I do have a blog post coming up in the next couple of days about Shopping Night last Thursday. I am not 100% sure if I should post it in Swedish or English. I will not post it in both, so I have to make a decision, but I am excited to share the post with you all!
That's all the "major news" I guess.
Today was pretty alright, even though I only slept 2 hours last night. I got up, went to a meeting with my "handläggare" (not really sure what that term is in English, if we even have one!) and talked a lot about my future in working. It was quite a positive meeting, so I am pleased.
After that, I went to a couple of food stores. I was planning to just go to one, but knowing I was walking past another one that usually has some interesting food in it, I had to stop in. I could have spent all my money in that store, truthfully, but I only came out with 4 things. I am so proud. I found super inexpensive processed peanut butter, which is hard to find here, and with my mild peanut allergy, it's all I can have. Then I found shake and pour pancake mix! I was quite thrilled, and it was only 8kr/$1 so I could not resist. I usually just make pancakes from scratch but I figured I wanted to test the brand and sometimes I am too lazy to mix ingredients, so it was a good thing to have in the house. OH! And then I found these:
There were a few kinds, but I picked up this one and a jasmine rice bag. Both were 10kr a piece (Just over $1) so once again, a steal! I used to attack microwaveable rice in the US like this all the time, so I only hope they taste good!
After that, I went to the other store and I found:
SRIRACHA! I have seriously never seen it here before, so that was exciting. That said, I left the store without it. It was a huge bottle and I don't eat sriracha on everything like most people so I wasn't sure it was worth it. But it's awesome to know we have it here!
The only other cool stuff I found today was new ice cream:
Cookie Dough and:
Kladdkaka! (Directly translated, sticky cake haha. It's basically undercooked brownie :p)
Akira and I are so excited to try them! I am not a huge chocolate fan but I hope that the kladdkaka ice cream is really delicious!
The rest of my night shouldn't be too exciting. Cleaning, cooking dinner and Netflix, which is basically a normal day for me :)
